08993 Possible Causes:
08993 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08993 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
