08992 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with malfunction indication light (k83), open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to ground . On the other hand shift lock, open is the final reason of the code. |
08992 Possible Causes:
08992 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 08992 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
