When you open throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from a/c controller or change combustion detection during deceleration is the final reason of the code. |
08984 Possible Causes:
08984 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08984 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
