This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of central electric ecu run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low also intake manifold runner control: open stop outside of valid range is the final reason of the code. |
08980 Possible Causes:
08980 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08980 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
