This code were stamped on VW Engine case data bus powertrain, missing message from adr control module It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+ or valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08979 Possible Causes:
08979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 08979 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
