This something to do with the intake camshaft timing automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for engine storage (n144/145), interruption / short-circuit after mass you can see the exhaust gas temperature bank 1, too high is the final reason of the code. |

08979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 08979 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'e' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
