This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent and wait then fuel pump "a", low flow / performance will delay your vw fault. |
08977 Possible Causes:
08977 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08977 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
