This code were stamped on VW Engine case data bus engine/engine, software condition monitoring mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground or a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08971 Possible Causes:
08971 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08971 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
