This something to do with the intake camshaft timing a camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) or oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08967 Possible Causes:
08967 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08967 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'k' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
