This code were stamped on VW Engine case control unit error programming error mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit . On the other hand butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544) errors in basic adjustment is the final reason of the code. |
08960 Possible Causes:
08960 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08960 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
