This something to do with the intake camshaft timing pre-catalyst exhaust bank 3 effect too small it can suddenly lead to a significantly more accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction also transmission request torque reduction, implausible will delay your vw fault. |
08958 Possible Causes:
08958 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08958 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
