08949 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start egr system, regulation range not reached or outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08949 Possible Causes:
08949 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08949 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, heater return coupling
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
