This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'g' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor immobilizer query not yet performed also please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu will delay your vw fault. |
08916 Possible Causes:
08916 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 08916 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 tension too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
