The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault park/neutral switch input circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit / open you can see the exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08901 Possible Causes:
08901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08901 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
