089 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start water in fuel sensor, circuit high and fuel pump "a", low flow / performance is the final reason of the code. |
089 Possible Causes:
089 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 089 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
