The problem is about kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection valve circuit range / performance, bank 2 unit 1 . On the other hand please check dtc memory of transmission ecu is the final reason of the code. |
08898 Possible Causes:
08898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 08898 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b', intermittent / erratic / high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
