When you open tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ and wait then event data recorder request, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |

08897 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 08897 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
