The problem is about exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), range / performance or secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08887 Possible Causes:
08887 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08887 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of clutch ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
