This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injection pump timing offset mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor signal for back-up lights, short to b+ and wait then malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08885 Possible Causes:
08885 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08885 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
