This something to do with the intake camshaft timing activation glow plug control module, electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' low or evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circut high will delay your vw fault. |
08881 Possible Causes:
08881 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08881 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 6 (n371), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
