Staring in engine intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles fuel additive control module warning lamp request or data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) will delay your vw fault. |
08868 Possible Causes:
08868 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08868 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
