08866 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing particulate trap bank 2, efficiency below threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system bank 1, system too lean off idle and powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |
08866 Possible Causes:
08866 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 08866 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) / (g185), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
