This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant fan (v7), open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to ground or secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
08866 Possible Causes:
08866 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 08866 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
