Staring in engine please check dtc memory of brake system ecu retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil cylinder 14, low circuit also valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
08864 Possible Causes:
08864 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08864 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
