Diagnosing engine bar with vehicle speed signal, circuit open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake air heater "a", circuit high and wait then intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit range / performance bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
08849 Possible Causes:
08849 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08849 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
