08842 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), no / incorrect basic setting/adaptation also o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
08842 Possible Causes:
08842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 08842 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
