The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction or evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
08838 Possible Causes:
08838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 08838 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation cooling system, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
