The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault water in fuel sensor, circuit intermittent mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake air heater "a", system performance or fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
08820 Possible Causes:
08820 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08820 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control bank 4, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
