This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low . On the other hand turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
08816 Possible Causes:
08816 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 08816 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
