The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 3/4 lambda probes after kat exchanges and throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
08806 Possible Causes:
08806 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08806 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
