08793 Possible Causes:

08793 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 08793 Code

  • Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
