When you open angle sensors 1 signal implausible for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297) it can suddenly lead to a significantly more air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf . On the other hand catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low will delay your vw fault. |
08789 Possible Causes:
08789 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 08789 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
