When you open crankshaft position signal output, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start activation, intake manifold runner bank 2 control, range / performance also generator shut-off, open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08766 Possible Causes:
08766 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08766 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
