This something to do with the intake camshaft timing malfunction indication light (k83), open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit intermittent or change secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08761 Possible Causes:
08761 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08761 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, lower stop not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
