The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel pump "a", low flow / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 . So for next exhaust bank 3, probe 1 tension too largely will delay your vw fault. |
08740 Possible Causes:
08740 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

What To Check After Fixing 08740 Code
- Inspect all the connections drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
