This code were stamped on VW Engine case bank 1, system too rich off idle causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large and throttle actuator control system, low air flow detected is the final reason of the code. |

08731 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
