This something to do with the intake camshaft timing friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 1 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles actuator supply voltage "b", circuit /open you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
08721 Possible Causes:
08721 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08721 Code
- Inspect all the connections actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
