Accumulated in electronic control units so secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed it can suddenly lead to a significantly more pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground . On the other hand power supply terminal 30, voltage too low is the final reason of the code. |
08717 Possible Causes:
08717 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 08717 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
