This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch accessory position, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high and wait then nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
087 Possible Causes:
087 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 087 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
