The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so data bus powertrain, implausible message of the awd control module or change turbo/super charger, under-boost condition is the final reason of the code. |
08698 Possible Causes:
08698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08698 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
