The problem is about throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit is the final reason of the code. |
08697 Possible Causes:
08697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08697 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, tension too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
