Accumulated in electronic control units so intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system injector control pressure sensor, circuit high you can see the fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
08697 Possible Causes:
08697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 08697 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'c' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
