Staring in engine data-bus powertrain missing message from distance control to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground you can see the data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) is the final reason of the code. |
08693 Possible Causes:
08693 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 08693 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
