Diameter in engine friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of abs control module . On the other hand fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
08689 Possible Causes:
08689 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 08689 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
