The problem is about secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake vehicle speed signal, circuit open you can see the auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
08687 Possible Causes:
08687 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 08687 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
