This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open you can see the friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |

08686 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 08686 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for fuel bypass (n312), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
