This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data-bus powertrain, implausible message from transmission controller and exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration is the final reason of the code. |
08660 Possible Causes:
08660 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 08660 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
