This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, missing message for central electric controller mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 you can see the hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too low is the final reason of the code. |
08649 Possible Causes:
08649 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08649 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
