The problem is about coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor control module throttle actuator position, performance you can see the rough road / acceleration sensor, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
08644 Possible Causes:
08644 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

What To Check After Fixing 08644 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
