08642 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start water in fuel sensor, circuit or change vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
08642 Possible Causes:
08642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 08642 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
