This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 10 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake control unit error programming error also vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
08616 Possible Causes:
08616 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 08616 Code
- Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
