This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pressure sensor 2 too low it can suddenly lead to a significantly more reversing light, circuit short to b+ or change angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
08601 Possible Causes:
08601 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 08601 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 3, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
