086 Description And Summary : |

When you open transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection air pump control, circuit low or 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
086 Possible Causes:
086 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 086 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
